LENDIS maintains its headquarters in McLean, Virginia. The office is furnished with modern equipment including computers, graphics and reproduction facilities, facsimile, and conference area. A second office is maintained onsite at the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center (TFHRC) in McLean, Virginia. LENDIS' computer facilities permit the efficient conduct of a wide range of projects, from sophisticated software development to engineering calculations, including computer- generated graphics and clear, attractive presentation of results. Our work is supported by several microcomputers, including both MS-DOS/Windows (IBM-compatible) and Apple Macintosh. All microcomputers include color monitors, extended RAM, printers, and modems for telecommunications. LENDIS also has a Local Area Network that supports both IBM-compatibles and Apple Macintosh. Mainframe computer support is provided by contract through external commercial computer services. This service includes an IBM 370 class mainframe running WYLBUR and OS/MVS.
